The rich tradition of ND clubs goes back more than 110 years.  The first Notre Dame club was founded in 1887, 18 years after the founding of the Alumni Association. The club was formed by alumni and friends in Chicago in response to the University's urgent need for funds to rebuild the Main Building after it was destroyed by fire.*

Today there are 267 local Notre Dame Clubs around the world, connecting ND alumni and friends with each other and the University.  The clubs offer a variety of programs and events, with a particular focus on scholarships for current students, community service, camaraderie, spirituality, continuing education, career networking, and lectures featuring ND faculty, coaches, and administrators. *

Each spring, the Alumni Association invites club, class and alumni group leaders back to campus for Alumni Senate, a three day conference to train our alumni volunteers.  Attendees are updated on campus issues by University administrators, attend workshops and participate in regional, club size and class officer meetings.*

The Notre Dame Club of Northwest Indiana is a B size club and has been recognized for many achievements over the years.  The club currently ranks in the top 5 of all Notre Dame Alumni Clubs worldwide for its over $2,000,000 scholarship endowment and each year the club grants more than $100,000 in scholarship monies to its local students.

Each fall the Notre Club of Northwest Indiana hosts its annual tailgater in the lot immediately South of the Joyce Center and the club’s Christmas Brunch has become a hit for the kids thanks in large part to Santa and his jolly helper.

We look forward to seeing you at our events and GO IRISH!!!!!
